Not only did I not run at Waterton Canyon, but I didn't run my planned 12 miles.
I was up most of the night with a terrible stomach ache and other things that go with that (doesn't take much imagination, does it?) I thought I felt pretty good this morning - until I started running. I made 5 miles and then bagged it.
I purchased an annual pass to a nearby park - so I can drive there and skip the big honkin hill that is on the way home from there. I found some nice trails there and I think the pass will pay off. It was really nice. I took the above picture on a trail down to the creek.
It is a beautiful day, I just wish I felt better.
Now I am debating whether I should try the 12 miles tomorrow or skip it and take a nice bike ride....
Hope you are feeling better soon. I would opt for the bike ride tomorrow...both because it is difficult to catch-up on miles and a bike ride on varied terrain sounds so nice (and I'm sure you wouldn't mind a flat ride along the ocean). Have a great Saturday.
ReplyDeleteI say run 7-8 AND ride your bike :-D Somebody needs to splat Guhn...
ReplyDeleteMountain Lions, Big Horn Sheep, sheesh, you have a lot wildlife to worry about!!
ReplyDeleteWhat to do tomorrow depends on what's more important to you...bike ride or run...or both. :)
And, I do think you'll notice a difference running at a lower elevation for your marathon. That will be a boost!!
I hope you are feeling better. See how you feel tomorrow - I'm sure your body will tell you what to do.
ReplyDeleteWow, what a pretty trail site!!!
ReplyDeleteHope you are feeling better...you make the call tomorrow!!
Hi Mary...remember this maniac!!! I've not died just took a self-imposed lazy streak and haven't done much running this year but I'm trying to turn that around. I'll be in Denver this coming week, at least a portion of it I think, downtown for meetings. I hope to get in some running if the weather will cooperate....
ReplyDeleteI hope you are feeling better! We all had the crummy tummies lately and it's no good at all!
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better soon.
