A Runner

Last night I was outside talking with my neighbors. I was showing them my new reel lawn mower. It is so freaking exciting! A lawn mower using only the power of a human being, no electricity, no gas engine, only legs, arms, and a little back action! It sounds so nice, just whirring along, cutting my grass.

Anyway, I was standing outside talking to several of my neighbors. One of them said to the other one that she is known as "the cat lady," not because she has MANY cats, but because she puts her cat on a leash every single day and takes it for a walk around the neighborhood. I used to think that was odd, but now it seems normal. Being self-centered, as I am, I pondered aloud what the neighbors might call me. Both of them, at the same time, said "the runner!"

Me? The Runner? Oh wow. And why the heck not?

That is so cool. I run, therefore, I am a runner. I like this a lot.

Very cool to be the neighborhood "runner."

I have a push mower like that, too. Makes for a great workout and it never runs out of gas or breaks down. Good job!

What a cool story and what a compliment!!

If you keep the blades well-sharpened, you'll enjoy that walk-behind for a long time.

Go, runner, go!

Ya! It's nice to hear somebody else reaffirm what we already know. You are a rock-in runner :-)

OMG I want one of those lawnmowers! I think they'd be so much fun (does that make me weird? LOL)

I've a feeling my neighbors call me almost the same thing. More than likely I'm known as "that crazy lady who runs all the time."

I used to have a reel mower, when my lawn was the size of a handkerchief. I loved it – no fumes, no pollution, and I got a workout, too! Enjoy!

the RUNNER!! That's awesome. I's sure my neighbors call me that cRaZyLaDy. LOL

We have a mower like that too. But we also don't have much in the way of a lawn here in the middle of the high desert.

That is awesome,
The Runner.
Be the Runner, keep it up.
I tried one of those push mowers before, but I now have a gas one with two kids to mow it for me:)
I would rather be running or something than mow the yard.
