Do you want to know the truth? I had a pretty miserable run. My left hip hurts so bad. I kept taking walk breaks, but I swear they don't help anything, they just slow me down and make it harder to get a good pace going again.
I actually enjoyed my 15 miles last week more than I enjoyed the 10 today. Even though I had my cute new outfit on... and that usually makes a run more tolerable.
I honestly don't know how I can run a marathon in just 7 weeks.
I am going to take a nap now and hope when I wake up the world looks like a friendlier and less painful place.

Good job on your 10milers. I had a pretty miserable run yesterday too. I was planning for a 'do-over' today, but other things got in the way and it never happened.
I don't know why some runs are so much better than others, but I'm glad it isn't just me!!
Every now and then we all have a bad run. Hopefully your hip will be better by your next run. If your hip can recover, 7 weeks should be enough time to get in a few more longer runs and feel good for your marathon
If your hip is bothering you, then that is a warning sign. you need to make sure you stretch your ITB bands before running. Take a couple of easy days this week, no more than 3 miles. Then see how your long run goes this weekend. Dee Dee did one (1) sixteen mile run before her marathon. If she can do it, you can too!!
Sorry it wasn't a good one! Just remember for every bad one there are good ones waiting to happen! I hope you had a good nap!
When I trained for my half last year I had a few bad weeks too. You may need to ease off a little.
It's ok Mary!! It happens to all of us :-) I had a poopy 9 miler last week. This weeks long run was pretty good though ;D I'm sure the next one will be great.
