Imagine my glee this morning when I glanced down at my garmin and saw that I was doing a 4 minute mile!!!! Incredible you say? Well, not really, I was on my bike at the time! It was fun. I took a brief (5 mile) bike ride at sunrise this morning. I don't want to have sore ischeal tuberosities again, so I am going to try to ease back into bike riding.
Bike riding is my favorite sport. I love it, and I am even moderately good at it. Well, except for that Super Man episode 2 years ago when I went over my handlebars and broke a rib.
Thanks for all your prayers and well-wishes for both me and my son. Blogging really gets you in touch with some pretty neat people... thanks!

Great job getting out on the bike! I need to hear how you did the superman thing! OWIE!!
"when I glanced down at my garmin and saw that I was doing a 4 minute mile!!!"
LOL! How cool is that?! Great job with the ride.
GREAT job getting on the bike!! Ouch about the broken rib, sounds painful :(
Accidents like the one you describe are exactly why I don't bike. I fall down enough when running, I don't think I should add wheels to my clumsiness!
Nice job getting out on the bike.
Owie about that superman manuever. Don't do that again!
My bike feels totally neglected because of all my running and now he is jealous of yours too! I plan to bike on Saturday morning, but apparently it is going to rain (which hasn't happened in weeks so I won't complain). Hope you are having a great week.
What a fantastic job on the bike, I don't even own one.
I'm about to do a practice run at 8,100 feet here in Vail, wish me luck. It's a delightful 41 degrees this morning so that will help some.
No more broken ribs ok? It doesn't look good on your runner's resume.
ischeal tuberosities
huh?
We took some pics on Memorial day on our bikes, I can't wait to show you
you are inspiring...
