Getting Better

I ran past this sign this morning on my run (yes! I actually ran!) as I have done probably hundreds of times, and as I past, I thought "WHAT did that say?" So, I stopped my garmin, backed up and read the sign. I thought it was probably appropriate to many situations, especially the workplace, so I took a picture. It will probably be my desktop on my computer at work before the end of the day.

So, I feel like I am back on track. I swam half a mile on Monday. I ran 2 miles (in record time) on Tuesday. I did my abs workout yesterday (waah, I hate this!) and today I ran another 2 miles - adding in hills and therefore no record times. I am going to be careful to ease back into my training. I do not want to get hurt.

I am going to meet a friend at "The Spirit of the Marathon" tonight. I am looking forward to seeing it and I hope it will get me fired up to run my upcoming marathon.

Did anyone see that there is now a Garmin Forerunner 405? Oh dear. It doesn't look like a Dick Tracy watch like my Garmin Forerunner 305. One more thing to want. drat.

I doubt rattlesnakes are much of a danger in the winter, but you're right, there are dangerous creatures at work as well ;)

when we break our current garmins there will be a sexy alternative, that's good to know.

Hmmmm, I wonder how well Garmin might hold up underneath the wheel of my car... ;)

Nice job with the workouts. Breaking records doesn't sound like easing into it to me.
