on my run this morning! Yikes! And silly me, walking right up to it so I could take a picture!
I had a great and fabulous work out this morning. I took a 10 mile bike ride - started out before sunrise. I got to see the sun come up and the long shadows of the morning. I had to slow down several times in the park as I was riding through huge flocks of birds! Why did I have to watch Alfred Hitchcock movies as a child and get all these crazy fears?
I hopped off the bike, put it in the garage, ran upstairs, changed shoes, had a sip of powerade, grabbed my iPod and ran out the door in 2:54 minutes. I then ran 2.20 miles. I could have run more, but I was having "digestive issues" and needed to get home.
I am feeling much much better about my readiness for the tri. 10 more days.

Is that a rattlesnake? Those of us who live east of the Mississippi think the only kinds of snakes you westerners have are rattlers. Heh.
YUCK!!!! I'm not too fond of snakes.
I LOVE that movie!!! That and Rear Window. Classics!!
Nice brick! and I luv your new training partner, provided he's not venomous of course :-)
Clearly, with all your training you knew you were much faster than the snake anyway...mmm. digestive issues. something only other runners can appreciate the true meaning of...I missed commenting on your previous post, but you'll do great in the tri... are you running the full or half-marathon at the Denver Marathon?
I'm running the half. Slowly. Very slowly.
Yuck snakes!
That movie scared me to death when I was a little kid..
I love to watch the sunrise on my early morning runs.
Hope you're feeling better :)
ooooh. it's cute.
Man that would freak me out!! I can't believe your tri is coming up so soon!!!! I am going to be hanging on your every word about it! :>)
Birds..now there is a movie I haven't thought about in a while...but last night...honest to God I thought I was going to get chased by a bunch of geese that were hanging around a pond that I ran by...think they believed I was invading territory...I'm not sure who would have won that race....
What kind snake was that...it doesn't look like a rattlesnake...
