Bricks, Tri-suits, Skirts, etc.

Remember when I said that I had already purchased all the stuff I needed for a Tri? Well, I remembered that last year when I saw all these cute skirts running by, I decided I really MUST have one. Do any of you ladies own one of these skirts? See those cute little buttons on the waist band? Those are actually to fasten your race bib to! How cool is that? (and Randy, a tri suit is just something that works for swimming, biking, and running... so you don't have to try to change your clothes during your transitions.)
So, I meant to do a bike/run brick yesterday - but I only did a bike ride. I got up at 4:30, made a lemon meringue pie for the picnic I was attending later... then I meant to get my work out in... however, I didn't realize I didn't have vanilla in the house, so that added an additional 30 minutes to the pie preparation time. I went to church at 8:30 and came home and hopped on the bike. By the time I had completed 8 and a half hilly mountainous miles, it was so hot that a run was Out of the Picture. Today is a rest day.
I have printed out the training schedule posted on the Tri for the Cure website and I think I will try to follow it - within reason.
I am excited about training for a tri and I am really really glad I decided to do it. Thanks to all you bloggers for the encouragement.

Now why exactly did you show me that skirt? Don't you remember I am on a budget for 6 months? OH MAN I LOVE THOSE!!! Maybe Marcy will float me a loan. LOL So cute! You will be styling for sure! Now I just need to know what to add on top! So do you just wear a swimming suit and then pull that skirt on with your number on for cycling and runnning? Oohhh I think I need one! Ok, I do need a suit still...point me in the direction of a cute one.

I don't have one, but I am thinking about getting biking skort. Kinda the same thing, but so I can run errands on my bike and look CUTE in the process. Makes sense to me...

You'll do great at the tri!! And even if you think you won't, who cares. You'll definitely be stylish ;-)

I want one, but they don't seem to come in my tri club's colors. ;-)

Congrats on training for a tri. I think you will enjoy the variety.

Well, I for one don't think I would look all that great in one of those skirt thingys....buttons for the bib or not.....now there is a money making idea....sell buttons that people could keep to fasten their bibs to their shirts, skirts, shorts....or wherever, maybe with their team logo on them...but for an extra fee....
