And I am being a complete jackass about my training. I have been so lazy this week. I took 2 days off in a row and one of them was sheer laziness and tiredness. I have a commitment to be at my church on Thursday mornings from 5 a.m. to 6 a.m., so Thursday is my normal rest day. But Wednesday I just couldn't get out and run.
So tomorrow I plan on running maybe a slow 5K and Saturday take an easy bike ride. Then my Tri is on Sunday. I am very excited.
If I manage to get any kind of workout in tomorrow, I probably will post to "brag" about it. You guys rock and I can't tell you how motivating you all are.

Your body probably needed the 2 days of rest, and it isn't going to be a great problem with your Tri that you took them off.
You need to be thinking positive thoughts, putting positive images of you crossing the finish line with that huge SMILE on your face because of your success.
Now make it happen!!!!!
I agree with Rand-man. Listening to your body is not being a jack ass :-) Although, I find it not difficult to be a jack ass for no reason either! LOL. I'm sure you are ready for your tri. This is a taper week after all!! We'll be waiting for some mo of that braggin!!
Good luck on your tri!!!
call it a taper and don't worry about it.
when you need rest, you need rest.
Go get 'em this weekend!! WooooHoooo!!!
I'm with Lisa!! Let's call it a taper!! ;D You'll be FINE for you tri!! It's going to be more fun than anything else, so don't sweat it ;D
I think it's better to go into an event rested then over trained!! I went into my half already tired and now I see that was not good!
GOOD LUCK AT THE TRI!!!!!!!!!!!!
you are better off well-rested rather than unhappy and overtrained. Enjoy the rest and good luck on Sunday...
Nothing wrong with getting some extra rest in right before a race. It is really good that you are going to do something the two days leading up to the race. Complete rest the days before a race just leaves you flat.
Good luck!
Mary, this is Saturday, I hope you are thinking about how you will feel after your tri tomorrow, that elation of finishing, knowing you have completed another one!!!! Don't focus on the time, focus on the follow-through...your delivery, putting one foot in front of the other, one more swim stroke, one more turn of the pedals, you will do great. Remember...power....glide....effortless energy pulling you through the spots where others struggle...you are going to be so proud and most of all that smile will be beaming at us all when you finish...
